Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is widely-known for its ability to relieve nausea associated with motion and morning sickness, however this impressive spice posses many healing powers. Ginger has been shown to lower high cholesterol and triglyceride levels, while raising beneficial HDLs. Ginger has the ability to reduce platelet stickiness, which helps improve circulation and reduce the risk of heart attacks and thrombotic strokes. Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties that can help relieve inflammation and pain associated with arthritis.
Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) is a nerve tonic, which helps calm the nervous system and eases symptoms of anxiety and fatigue.
