Studies have shown that the active compound in Fenugreek seeds stimulates the pituitary gland which in turn releases prolactin. It’s this increase in prolactin that is believed to be the reason for fenugreek’s galactogogue effect.
It is also used as a tonic to improve digestion. Fenugreek has also been shown to be beneficial for balancing blood sugar levels.
