Raw Caramel Protein Bliss Balls

Raw Caramel Protein Bliss Balls

This week we are lucky to have the lovely Kim Holmes from The Healthy Little B sharing one of her favourite tea-time nourishing recipes with us. These simple yet delicious bliss balls are full of nutritional goodness. Tahini (sesame seed paste) contains plenty of calcium, protein, and heart healthy fats. Dates are a good source of dietary fibres and provide iron, which is important for good bowel health and energy levels. Buckinis are activated buckwheat (a fruit seed, not a member of the wheat family). These crunchy little gluten-free seeds are rich in protein and provide immune boosting zinc and iron. Mesquite is a highly nutritious food that has been used as a flour and sweetener for centuries by the Native Americans. Mesquite powder, which is ground from the pod of the mesquite plant, is particularly rich in protein and contains minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, and magnesium. Mesquite has a lovely sweet, slightly nutty, caramel-like flavour.

Gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan.
